Please join the forums and get connected with almost 11,000 members that are constantly trying to push the envelope of the ka within the market I have an enthalpy tuned ecu for rc 550cc injectors, 9:1 comp pistons, z32 mafs etc. I currently have a ka24det with a felpro headgasket on a sr20det t25 running 10psi of boost
I'm about to build another ka24det and was wondering how much boost/power is the felpro paper type headgasket good for (apparently i heard 400) I finally got my kat project up and going and she's been running strong for a solid 4 months now I know people always bash on felpros and i was planning to run a multiple layer steel type cometic hg, but i also hear bad stuff about them
Hey guys, im just putting toghther my bottom end finally today and i plastigauged the main bearings, they are 0.001 at most
I went ahead and lubed the bearings with the arp lube that came for the studs and then followed the arp torque procedure from jgs to torque them all down New kat dyno z31 turbo 8psi by atomgrimus » sun feb 08, 2015 5:41 am im like 2 years late here lol, i got a t3 z31 turbo, i did research and it says on other forums that this turbo can only hold up to 6psi idk how true that is. The operation of the swirl control valve extends the torque curve of the engine It does this by essentially providing two seperate intake velocities and torque curves that are switched, overlaying the curves as a single extended profile
The scv are operated by a proprietary load and rpm based switching algorithm The ka24e ecu uses seperate maps for each state of the scv (open or closed. Also the t3 backside limits it up top. Dont get me wrong it will pull to redline and beyond, but when pushing it to extreme cases it will fall off wit alot of boost.
I bought a sandwitch plate with taps for oil pressure guages and whatever you want to install.
