Impala was a trim package with the rear discs and 3.08s tossed in as fake upgrades. My caprice has started to crank longer than usual, and coincidentally when it started doing it the bearings went out on my alternator and it has a hellacious chirping/grinding noise This is probably completely unrelated, but who knows So starting the car, it cranks fast and normal just takes.
