For the last few weeks i've had a problem getting fs2020 to shut down completely I notice it when i want to go back. As a result when i try to start it up again the next time i get the sim is already running message that won't go away

If i shut the sim down using the quit to desktop option, i get the are you sure you want to exit.

Just recently every time i exit/close msfs2020 using the menu system (return to main menu then return to desktop) msfs disappears from the screen but its icon remains on the task bar and i find that msfs2020 remains listed in the task manager as running and high on cpu usage As such i cannot run. Ever since fs2024 was released i have been searching for an option to fully disable 2024's native atc Unfortunately i couldn't find this option and am now hoping that one (or more) of you gentlemen can shed some light on this issue.

Check on the forums this last update , had specific instructions on how to best remove / clear install Depending on if you bought the sim from the store or steam Best just to go to the official forums and in the top right search for clean install
